We are a small scale flower an herb farm. Our goal is to supply the community with consciously grown herbs and flowers to add color and taste to meals and homes. We also build custom planter boxes for inside the home or outside on the patio, full of culinary herbs, decorative or edible flowers. Our goal is also to work with local chefs to help stoke the farm-to-table, local food movement, and to also eventually sell our products at the local farmers markets. We try to work in balance with nature and the community while being good stewards of the land we grow and live on.
Here at Low Branch Farm, we use organic and ecological practices when growing, which means we do not use any unnatural chemicals on our plants or around our house. We source our seeds from seed companies that we are proud to support that help supply to many organic farmers across the nation. We grow all our plants from seed in our greenhouse, and eagerly watch them grow either in our beds or planter boxes. We believe it is important to build nutrient-rich soil, keep it chemical-free, and enable plants to grow like crazy!
We believe it is important to keep the land healthy, just as well believe it is important to keep our community healthy. With this mindset comes a responsibility to make conscious choices when living every-day life, so we try to reuse recyclables around the property for different projects as much as possible. We also have a few different ecosystems here at Low Branch Farm, so we try to supply plenty of food for local pollinators so they can do their part and keep the vegetation alive. Native plants are also bountiful at Low Branch Farm and they encourage these natural habitats to flourish.
